To work this shawl, you should have relatively good basic skills and experience in crocheting.
At first glance, this pattern may seem easy, but the stitches (yo-slst) and the loosely crocheting are unusual.
The level of difficulty is therefore increased.

Size Information

Finished size shawl unstretched (with Alpaca Yarn):
• Width long side: approx. 170 cm / 66.9”, extendable
• Height to tip: approx. 70 cm / 27.5”

Note: Yarns other than the original, other yarn gauges and / or other crochet hooks may of course change the size and appearance of your shawl accordingly.
Gauge is a help, as well the repeat / multiple (see in PDF)

Suggested Yarn (ad uncommissioned / unpaid)

• The shawl model shown was used:
  Filcolana Vilja (aka Indiecita) | 100% Alpaca | 1.76 oz/50 g; 180 yds/165 m yardage, 3 ply / Sport
  You need 12 skins à 50 g in 7 different colors.
  Hook: 5 (5,5) – US H/8 (I/9))

Alternative to work:

• Yarn Cake (each 50% Cotton / Poly) 4-ply in at least 6 color shades.
  For this, you may need a special winded cake with approx. 1749 yds / 1600 m in maritime colors (see content of the purchased PDF). For the wave interruptions you will also need a natural white unibobble 4-ply with approx. 98 - 109 yds / 90-100 m yardage

Hook: 4 (4,5) – US G/6 (7)

• Material for the DIY Brooch, metric specifications
  Scheepjes Catona, 100% mercerized cotton, 50 g / 125 m yardage, weight: sport / fine, e.g. Col.: 528 Silver Blue, approx. 2 g and thicker glitter yarn: e.g. Rico Lamé, 65% Polyester & 35% Polyamide,
  DK / light worsted, Col.: 001 Silver, 25 g / 135 m, less usage.
  (optional: other thinner glitter yarns, possibly 3-4 fold stranded)

Hooks: 1,75 (US 5 steel) & 2,5 (US ~ B/1)

Other Material: 1 pearl Ø 6 cm | 1 hatpin with stopper or brooch blank | jewelry glue and solvent-free white glue; I have used „Meyco weißer Bastelkleber” | optional: approx. 16 small white pearls à Ø 4 cm.
