"Somewhat Blue" is a knitting pattern for a lace scarf made in bulky wool and alpaca yarn. It is an easy pattern that requires knowledge of basic lace stitches. There are some textured parts in between to add interest. Not a beginner pattern, but a beginner lace pattern. It is both written and charted.
The sample shown in the pictures was made out of Bremont London Tweed, which is a bulky alpaca and wool blend and as the name suggests already, a tweed yarn. Quite luxurious and looks terrific, in my opinion. The pattern has been tested by several people who used a variety of yarns, starting with a sport weight merino yarn up to a super chunky. The yarn choice does influence the width of the scarf, but also the one made in sport weight yarn was wide enough. Worked in bulky yarn it is a very quick knit. The result will be a very warm scarf, depending on the chosen color a unisex scarf for women or men, something that can be worn on the coldest days of winter.
If you purchase the pattern, start knitting and (which I don't hope) get to a point where you don't know how to go on, my contact info is in the pattern. I am always happy to help. Please bear in mind that I sometimes need to sleep and don't spend all day on the internet. But I check my mails every day.
