"Eminence Grise" - a knitting pattern for an infinity scarf in worsted weight wool. This is an easy pattern, not necessarily for knitting beginners, but for knitters who know how to knit and purl and want to expand their skills. Basically it is a textured pattern with some eyelets in between. The texture reminds me of building blocks. This may be a stylish unisex cowl for women or men and something to keep you warm in winter. You can also use the pattern to make a scarf, which will of course require more yarn. The pattern is written and charted.
The sample shown in the pictures was made out of Four Seasons Gründl Royal Merino, which is a wonderful, sturdy and soft merino wool yarn. I don't think it is available in Northern America, but simnilar yarns are certainly available all around the world. I used rather small needles for mine, just because I like textured patterns that are knitted on small needles. The given needle size is not a must, but will have influence on yardage and size of your cowl.
The pattern has been tested by several people who used a variety of yarns from DK to aran, wool cotton and acrylic. All of them showed good results.
If you purchase the pattern, start knitting and (which I don't hope) get to a point where you don't know how to go on, my contact info is in the pattern. I am always happy to help. Please bear in mind that I sometimes need to sleep and don't spend all day on the internet. But I check my mails every day.
Please read below for more pattern details.
