There are times when you simply want to sit down and knit some garter stitch. Whether it is scary news or anything else, sometimes knitting a stitch at a time can be tremendously helpful.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

Difficulty level: easy (garter stitch, easy increases)

Gauge: 17 stitches/40 rows in garter stitch = 10cm/4in.

Size Information

The long edge is 290cm or 116in long, 70cm (28in) at the widest point. The shawl can be worked to any size.

Materials List

Yarn: Dyemystyle Sock active Superfine (75% Merino wool, 25% nylon; 400m/100g; 437yds/3.53oz), 2 skeins. Any yarn will work for the pattern.

Needles: 4mm/US 6 circular needles (the longer the better)
