a Star of Wonder with a baked cookie look:
For a delicious icing, use pure new or felted wool.
The lower star - like baked dough - is created by crocheting with twine/string.
By embroidering a snowflake (mohair yarn and/or metalized runnning thread), the wonder stars are held together wonderfully.
Decorate your stars individually with beads and ribbons for a wonderful country house decoration at Christmas time.

Crochet skills: Easy
You should be able to crochet in the round with standard crochet stitches. A star felt wash and starching are explained in the pattern and are fun to make. So you don't have to bake ;-) Crocheting with a four-stranded yarn is not easy, but doable!

Size Information

Finished sizes dried, flat stars in Ø cm:

Size Small Star: Ø approx.10.5 cm Perfect size for tree ornaments
Medium-sized Star: approx. 14 cm &
Size of Giant Star: Ø ca. 20 cm for Home & Garden Decorations, e.g. coasters on a dining table, hanging ornaments in wreaths, etc. Not easy to crochet!

Note: Yarns other than the original and / or other crochet hooks may of course change the size and appearance of your stars accordingly.

Suggested Yarn (ad uncommissioned / unpaid)
The star models shown was used:
• Lopi Léttlopi / Lite Lopi from Istex, 100 % Icelandic Wool), wpi: 14; 50 g (1.76 oz.) / 100 m (109 yds.) yardage or use Felting Yarn for knitting and crocheting.
This yarn is spun for felting, use a low twist and single ply. Choose own colors.
Usage: You need approx. 5,50 m (6 yds.)
• Twine / String Nm 3,5/3, means 3-ply yarn with thread size approx. 1 – 1,5 mm. 50 g (1.76 oz.) / approx. 58 m (63 yds.) yardage; wpi=15, Col.: nature.
The twine should be made of linen, jute or hemp. Unwaxed, unpolished.
Usage: approx. 7,50 m (8 yds.)

• a little bit Mohair Yarn, e.g. Drops Kid-silk and running glittering threads, metalized in gold or silver
