To ensure that all posts meet a high standard and provide genuine value to readers, we kindly ask you to carefully adhere to the following rules.

Date: August 26, 2024

1. General Requirements

1.1 Targeted Content

Your blog post should be clearly structured and to the point. Please ensure that your content is clear and concise, containing directly relevant information that is useful and interesting to readers.

1.2 Error-Free Texts

Please make sure your texts are free of spelling and grammatical errors. Take the time to proofread or have your posts reviewed by someone else if necessary. As the author, you bear full responsibility for the content of your posts, including the accuracy and legality of the information. Posts that do not meet our quality standards or may cause legal issues will not be compensated and may be rejected or deleted by Crazypatterns.

1.3 High-Quality Images

The images you use in your blog should be of high quality. Make sure they are clear, well-lit, and not blurry. Additionally, they should complement the content and visually support it.

1.4 No Self-Promotion

Please ensure that your post does not contain self-promotion. Linking to related posts or products on Crazypatterns is allowed, but it should be moderate and relevant to the topic of the blog post. The focus should be on providing value to readers, not promoting your own products.

1.5 Consistent Tone and Brand Voice

Ensure that your post aligns with the tone and style of the Crazypatterns brand voice. Use friendly, helpful, and professional language that suits both our brand and the target audience.

2. Content Quality

2.1 Value for Readers

Your post should offer genuine value to readers. Consider what questions or problems you can solve, and focus on providing useful and practical tips or interesting information/instructions.

2.2 Structure and Readability

Ensure that your post has a clear structure. Headings, paragraphs, and bullet points help to organize the text and improve readability.

2.3 SEO Optimization

To improve the visibility of your post in search engines, make sure to incorporate relevant keywords into your blog post. Use keywords in both the text and headings. This increases the likelihood that your post will be found by a broader audience.

2.4 Call-to-Action (not obligatory)

Use calls to action (CTAs) to actively engage your readers, whether it’s by leaving a comment or exploring other posts. You can also encourage them to purchase/download a pattern or take an action that relates to your post's topic.

2.5 Integrate FAQs (not obligatory)

To enhance the readability and discoverability of your blog posts, we recommend integrating frequently asked questions (FAQs) into your post. Choose questions relevant to your post’s topic that might interest readers. Write the answers clearly and concisely. FAQs can be placed at the end of the post or in a separate section. Use meaningful keywords in the questions to further support the SEO optimization of your post. A well-structured FAQ section can improve user experience and increase the discoverability of your post in search engines.

2.6 Linking

Use internal links to reference related posts and products on Crazypatterns. However, avoid using too many links in one post and check the links carefully to ensure they lead to relevant pages.

2.7 Visit the Trends Page (not obligatory)

For inspiration for your own blog posts and to see which topics are particularly popular with our readers, we recommend regularly visiting our page with popular posts. Here you can find the latest trends and get a better idea of which content performs well. You can find the page at the following link: Popular Posts.

2.8 No Repetitions

Please avoid repetitions in your posts, both within a single post and across multiple posts. It is important that each post offers unique and fresh content that brings new value to readers. Avoid using the same information or phrasing multiple times to keep readers engaged and maintain the quality of your content.

3. Compensation

3.1 No Guarantee of Compensation

We only compensate posts that meet these rules, the general terms and conditions, and the additional terms and conditions for authors. If you disagree with the decision, you are free to delete your blog post at any time.

3.2 Compensation Criteria

Posts that are of high quality and receive positive engagement in the form of page views will be compensated. The exact amount of compensation is based on the number of words and views.

3.3 Author Account Required

To receive compensation, you must have an author account with Crazypatterns. Without such an account, payment of compensation is unfortunately not possible. For more information on how to set up an author account, click here: Become an Author.

3.4 First Compensation: For Blog Creation

Formula = W × 0.07 + V × 0.03

W = Number of words in the post
V = Number of views on the post at the time of compensation

The maximum compensation for a blog post is €200.

3.5 Second Compensation: For Blog Views

The compensation per blog view is €0.03. The maximum compensation is €200.

3.6 Deadline for Compensation Requests

The request for compensation, both for the first and the second compensation, must be submitted within 90 days of the blog's creation. After this period, no further requests are possible, and no additional compensation will be provided.

4. Image Requirements

4.1 Format and Quality

Use images in a standard format (e.g., landscape 4:3). Ensure that the main subject is fully visible and avoid cropping important parts of the subject. The images should be bright enough and free of distracting backgrounds. Make sure that the images match the general style of Crazypatterns to ensure a cohesive and appealing appearance. This style includes clear, well-lit images with a neutral background that highlights the motif.

4.2 Collages

If you use collages, they should be clearly structured and not overloaded. Ideally, a collage consists of no more than three images.

4.3 Captions and Frames

Avoid captions and frames on images, as they can distract from the actual motif. Keep the focus on the motif itself and use decorative elements sparingly to enhance the presentation.

5. Flexibility of Rules

5.1 Changes to the Rules

Crazypatterns reserves the right to modify these rules at any time. Changes will be announced in advance, and it is your responsibility to stay informed about current rules.

5.2 Important Notice

Crazypatterns reserves the right to exclude individual authors from creating blog posts at its discretion and without giving reasons. This measure can be taken at any time and serves to ensure the quality and integrity of the content on our platform. We ask for your understanding that this is an internal decision, and no further explanations will be provided.

5.3 News in the Forum

We recommend regularly checking the Forum (only for Authors) to ensure that you are up-to-date and that your posts comply with the current rules.

6. Legal Notices

6.1 Only the Terms and Conditions of Crazypatterns Apply

All blog posts and their creation are subject to the general terms and conditions and the additional terms and conditions for authors. By submitting a post, you agree to fully comply with them.

6.2 You Bear Full Responsibility for the Content of Your Posts

You are responsible for ensuring that the published content is accurate, legally sound, and free from copyright violations. Crazypatterns assumes no liability for the content of the posts you create. You are required to indemnify Crazypatterns against any third-party claims.

6.3 Compensated Posts May Not Be Deleted or Altered Without Approval (Except for Error Corrections)

If your post has been compensated by Crazypatterns, you are not allowed to remove or alter it without prior approval. Corrections of spelling or grammatical errors are exempt from this and can be made at any time.

6.4 Compliance with Copyrights

Ensure that all materials you use, such as texts, images, and videos, are either created by you or that you have the appropriate rights to use them. Using copyrighted material without permission is strictly prohibited and may result in legal consequences.

6.5 User-Generated Content and Comments

If you include comments or user-generated content in your blog, ensure that they comply with these rules. All user-generated content should be moderated before publication to ensure that it is appropriate and relevant.

6.6 Compliance with Data Protection Regulations

Be careful not to collect or publish personal user data without their explicit consent. This is especially true for comments or other user-generated content that may contain sensitive information.

6.7 Duplicate Content

The posts (texts) you create may only be published on Crazypatterns and not on other platforms, including your own website. This is important to avoid issues with duplicate content, which can negatively impact search engine optimization (SEO). Duplicate content can cause search engines to rank your posts as less relevant, significantly reducing visibility on both Crazypatterns and other websites. To ensure the best possible visibility and reach for your content, please ensure that your posts are published exclusively on Crazypatterns.
